One of the best things about creating children's books is getting to meet young readers. Over the years, I've been lucky enough to visit lots of bookshops, schools, libraries and literature festivals. I strive to make my workshops/events as interactive and engaging as possible. Using props to aid in storytelling, I like to spark imaginations and discussion.

 At the end of each session, I dedicate some time to a Show and Tell so children can share their stories and drawings. These workshops are really about the participants, and it's so important that they have the time to share what they have created, crack a joke, tell me about their hamster or just say something out loud. I want them to have that special moment and to have fun! My sessions generally involve storytelling, draw-a-longs, story-building and character creation. I cater to ages 3-12.
